What a great day! Marc started off proceedings with a 1 hr Q&A Session re the Rules of the sport..very informative. The event started on time (a rarity for BJJ lol) and Dartford Fighters Sky and Mike were first up..Sky had a great match fighting hard but narrowly losing on points...Mike was off to a flyer submitting his opponent with a rear naked choke before losing his second match on points. Gaz and Ricky fought some very tough blue belts, both winning one and losing the other on points...awesome Gator Rolls and Rubber Guard from Ricky and a sweet Ezkiel from Gary! Brandon and Joe had to fight each other, Joe taking the win by points. Luke fought Dave Speedy's son Tyrone. Tyrone is, i have to say a future champion. Awesome skills. Luke fought hard and showed a good defense and some nice escapes before being caught via RNC. Terry Barnett, what can I say, 48yrs old and fought like the warrior he is. Two tough matches, Tel put some points on the board and inspired us all! I think the highlight for all was watching Meg and Charlotte compete. Due to no suitable opponents, Meg fought Dave Speedy in a very technical Demo showing us her ever improving skills. Charlie fought Marc in the other Demo match...I know how nervous she was, but once they shook hands, she fought like a lioness....If there is any 40kg Female Blue Belts reading this in the near future...watch out! Because of fighters like these two Girls, BJJ will continue to grow and inspire other Ladies to put on the Kimono and change lives. Congratulations to the two Fighters: Luke from Marc's and Kojak from Paul Bridges Team in Hastings whom received their Brown Belts from Marc...
