Kettlebell Workshop

RKC Instuctor Steve Wright is hosting a Kettlebell Workshop on Saturday February 28th, Bob Breen Academy, 2.00p.m. - 5.30 p.m. Covers basic kettlebell lifts and training methods, with the emphasis on good form and safety. Costs are £30 Bob Breen Academy/Dartford Academy/BIG members, £35 non-members. The Chants - I Could Write A Book

Along with my daily diet of Soul and Reggae, i often indulge in a tasty morsel of Doo Wop every now and then. I discovered this tune recently whilst researching a rare 1963 documentry on Merseybeat (This was filmed in The Cavern Club). The Chants evolved in the Liverpool 8 district of Liverpools Toxteth area and this is a wonderful treat! For you 7t's Disco buffs, Eddie Amoo the lead singer later went on to form The Real Thing and had a Number 1 with "You to me are everything"... So.....click those fingers and move your feet...this is a Gem for Valentines Day! How good was Georges St Pierre on Saturday night?!! The Gracie Barra BJJ Black Belt destroyed BJJ Penn in every range! Ive never seen anyone pass BJ's Guard and half-guard with such ease! The fourth round was amongst the most dominant, technical and considering the opponent, awesome display of Mixed Martial Arts I have seen! Lyoto Machida again was on great form Vs Thiago Silva. The Shotokan Karate Black Belt used his range and counter striking abilities to knock out Silva taking his record to 14-0. As a Shotokan Black Belt myself its great to see this Traditional Art being adapted to the Cage. Timing, distance, Jumping Knee Strikes, Head Kicks, Sweeps and Throws along with the powerful and direct Reverse Punch give an edge to this Brazilian Fighter!
